Finnish designer Timo Sarpaneva developed and produced the distinctive patterns of the Ambiente collection. Working in his studio with a machine programmed to release liquid dye onto moving fabrics, Sarpaneva created stunning production fabrics that were used for everything from upholstery to tablecloths to fashion wear.
