The Minneapolis Institute of Arts' Division of Learning and Innovation is pleased to share curriculum materials created to accompany the exhibition "Art of The Native Americans: The Thaw Collection," on view at the MIA Oct. 24th, 2010, until Jan. 9th, 2011.
These resources are designed to support the visual arts and social studies standards. The content includes images, maps, information, and lesson starters. It follows a geographic organization highlighting objects from the Fenimore Museum of Art's Eugene and Clare Thaw Collection and MIA's permanent collection. It is further focused around themes relevant to the visual arts, humanities, social studies, and interdisciplinary lessons.
