This presents ideas on how to structure lessons on symbolism and haiku form in poetry.
It accompanies the "Colours of My World" GiggleIT 2011 Project:
This Visual Literacy Integrated Unit is suitable for secondary and elementary schools that wish to integrate Art, English and ICT in one unit plan.
The theme is "Colours of my world" and is based on a constructivist creative project which is structured to develop creative thought and actions through personal knowledge of the student's world. Creativity in context allows the student to see their own local area with new eyes and so see themselves as a part of that local area.
