This ArtsConnectEd set seeks to explore the question: How can an artist interpret the theme of "reflection" in a work of art?
This ACE set and lesson was designed to be used in conjunction with a Minneapolis Institute of Arts "Art in the Park" class, but any art teacher looking for a lesson plan about reflection would find this to be a useful resource.
The word reflection can mean many things.
You can see your reflection in the mirror, a design may show reflective symmetry if it is the same on both sides, or you can reflect on something when you take time to think about it.
Look carefully at the following works of art. How did the artist show reflection in the artwork?
