art of the middle east
This set is designed for 7th grade students and serves as an introduction to a wide variety of Middle Eastern art. Both historical and contemporary art styles are explored, with the sets organized chronologically, oldest to newest. Students will view this set in conjunction with several smaller sets (specific to one country) as part of a Pathfinder. http://questgarden.com/q/middleeastart
Students will take the information they have learned through these slides to help them chose one country whose art or architecture they would like to research further. In order to complete the Pathfinder the students will utilize the gathered information to create an original work of art representative of the art or architecture of their chosen country.
