What strikes me about these two images is the intensity of the gaze (or non gaze, or implied gaze) in the case of the Kifwebe mask. I have always wanted to look deeper into Frank's eyes, but those reflections get in the way. I feel the same about the mask...where are the eyes? What is being hidden?
