TechArt
Since 1998, Tech High School students in Ms. Petri''s Painting II class have painted replicas of classic art works. These artworks span from the "Hieroglyphics of Ancient Egypt" to "20th Century American Paintings".
As part of their final project for the class students research the background history of their selected artist and artwork; complete a respective painting trying to match colors, techniques, and brushstrokes of the artist; and present their work to their classmates as a culmination of their learning in Painting II.
This collection is on display in the artroom as an ongoing exhibit of painted stools, chairs, and cabinet doors.
