The artwork I have chosen to respond to is "Storm Clouds, Maine" by Marsden Hartley.
I have chosen this work because I found it to be the most appealing to my sense of art and I found it to be the most interesting of all of the works of art on the Artsnet Minnesota web page because of its interesting use of color to realistically imitate a thunderstorm skyscape. I have chosen to respond to it by making a pencil-shade version of the work, shown above.
