What's a spoon doing in the middle of a garden?

Can you believe a 7,000-pound, 52-foot-long, 29-foot-high spoon with a cherry on top? Even though it's a sculpture, Spoonbridge and Cherry is also a fountain. The water sprays from the top and bottom of the cherry stem. Walker Art Center commissioned husband-and-wife artist team, Claes Oldenburg (Kläs OL-den-berg) and Coosje van Bruggen (CO-sha van-BRU-gan) to create this large-scale sculpture. It sits in a pond which is shaped like a linden seed pod.
