Bringing arts to the frontier

Mina Prindle was interested in music and the arts. While her husband persuaded people to move to Duluth, Mina helped develop the cultural life of the city. She started a music series and also donated land for many of the city's parks. Mina knew all about the styles that were popular in the older cities of the eastern United States. She wanted her new home to show that young Duluth was just as civilized as those eastern cities.
