Purcell-Cutts House |
|||||||
Bringing the outside in Purcell and Elmslie played with ideas for the windows and walls of the house. Look around the living room (This requires Quicktime). The front of the house is all windows, instead of a solid wall. On a sunny day, light bounces off the water in the pool in front of the house. Reflections shimmer on the ceiling, "bringing the outside in." If you sit on the cushioned bench in front of the windows, it is almost like being outdoors under the open sky. You are a part of the wide world! But what if you are in the mood for a cozy, intimate space? |
