The University of Minnesota

The Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum is a department of the University of Minnesota. It is located at 333 E. River Road, Minneapolis, MN 55455. It is on the East Bank of the University of Minnesota-Minneapolis campus. It is adjacent to Coffman Memorial Union and the Washington Ave. Bridge.

Hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays; 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The museum is closed on Mondays. For general information, call (612) 625-9494.

Admission is free.

For more information about guided tours or reservations for groups of 15 or more, please call (612) 625-9656. Tour reservations must be made at least three weeks in advance of the tour date. Public tours are Saturdays and Sundays at 1 p.m.

Harvest is located next to the Weisman Art Museum, on the east side of the building. It will remain standing through the summer of 1999. Please call the museum main number, (612) 625-9494, to find out if the sculpture is still standing.

Sphere is located in the Carlson School of Management on the West Bank of the Minneapolis Campus, at 321 19th Ave. S. Call (612) 625-0027 for more information.

Minnesota in 3/4 Time is located in the Tate Lab of Physics on the East Bank of the Minneapolis campus, along Northrop Mall. The address is 116 Church St. S.E., Minneapolis. Call (612) 624-7375 for more information.

The Language of Skies is located at Appleby Hall on the East Bank of the Minneapolis campus. The address is 128 Pleasant St. S.E., Minneapolis. Call (612) 625-6885 for more information.

There are several other public works of art at the University of Minnesota, on both the Minneapolis and St Paul campuses.
