My intent was to express and show things that are a part of "What is a Girl World". I wanted to use things that represent big memories. My focal point is my doll. A little girl's life of playtime is based on dolls or Barbies. At least for me it was. I put sea shells to represent all of the times I have gone on vacations to the beach. My main intent was to show my past as a girl would.
I did what I intended to do. Everything on my sculpture is a memory: nail polish, makeup, doll shoes, pins, perfume, mirrors, hairbrushes. All of these are a part of my world. (Or at least were!) My world today is more filled with sports, friends, and music. This sculpture has important and meaningful memories in it.
