Hi, my name is Brent and I am in the seventh grade at Blake Middle School. My sculpture is a very unique and interesting piece of artwork. In this sculpture I was trying to convey my love of hockey and the overall winter and was also trying to create a kind of cool mood or feeling. It took me a long time to create this work of art, but the results were fascinating and were the exact way I wanted them to be.
The story behind my sculpture titled WE WON! Comes from when I was about six through ten years old. Every weekend and sometimes on weekdays we would play hockey on our outdoor rink that my dad and my brothers made. It was a great experience since I really didn't play hockey as intensely then as I do know. Now those glorious days are over and they will cling in my memories forever. I choose to do that since it was the first thing that popped into my head that would actually be do-able.
