RHONDA SMEDSTAD'S REFLECTION
Terms to ponder/define/consider:

encrusted
memory ware
memory
outsider/visionary assemblage
time
ethnic/cultural history/multi-generational
things we discard

“Ring of Fire”8/12/02 Awesome! So alive with color and texture and vitality! Such a cacophony of the senses, but at the same time clean and crisp and color-controlled--Red, silver, white impressions stay with me.

My suggestion for project title: “Remembering Like Judy”

Reactions to the “Moulin Rouge” /Judy Onofrio visual connection:

kaleidoscope
visual smorgasbord
jewel-like
montage
cacophony of color, emotion, sound
fragmented blur sublimely bizarre
dreamlike
disjointed, united in surreality of color
music supports disjointedness
unified through its discordance
