Rhonda Smedstad has been the art specialist at Richmond Public Elementary School, part of the Rocori district, since 1994. She holds B.S. degrees in Elementary Education and Art Education from St. Cloud State University, and she has also earned multiple graduate credits in various fields.

In addition to teaching art, she has worked as a classroom teacher, travel consultant, postal clerk, interior designer, developer and instructor of a college level travel program, and graphic designer. All of these roles have added unique dimension to her creativity.

She and her husband Tom are the parents of two college age daughters.
