I have been an art teacher for the past thirty years...and it is great opportunities like this project with Judy Onofrio that keeps me invigorated and renewed in regard to teaching practice. The collaboration
with other art teachers from around the state and individuals from the museums and colleges who were also involved in this project made the scope and intensity of developing a resource for teachers very worthwhile.

I have been teaching at The Blake School for the past fourteen years. The first ten years I taught art to grades PreK through 4th and these past
four years I have been at The Blake Middle School, working with six, seven and eighth grade students.

I attended St. Cloud State College for my art education degree and received my M.Ed from Hamline University. I have also taught in Rockford, Orono, and Minnetonka School Districts. Besides teaching, I also have had the good fortune to have been the Western Region Elementary Division Representative for NAEA, held numerous leadership positions on Art Educators of Minnesotas state council, collaborated with other arts teachers through Minnesota Best Practice network and was a coordinator for the Minnesota Scholastic Art Award Program.

Working with my students on this project was an amazing journey. I truly believe that challenging myself with new projects and meeting new people who broaden my ideas about the practice of teaching have been the key ingredients to a wonderful career!
