REMEMBERING LIKE JUDY: STUDYING THE WORK OF JUDY ONOFRIO

USING OUR OWN MEMORYWARE

THERESE CACEK'S REFLECTION
When I first began this project I was immediately impressed with Judy Onofrio's studio and her unique way of creating sculpture. Her drawers of organized "gems", creating palettes of every color, provided a new perspective on working with color.

The pedestals that she constructed with plywood boards often resembled ancient architectural structures. Her playful, direct narratives were simple yet immensely detailed with forms and color that were dazzling. She wholeheartedly creates her own interpretation of the world. Judy is inspiring.
