Dave Beaman is the Visual and Media Arts Education Specialist for the Professional Development Institute at the Perpich Center for Arts Education. He previously served as a visual arts educator in Minnesota for 25 years with experiences in Staples, Staples/Motley and in St. Paul. He has also taught in Green Bay, WI and in Hertfordshire, England.

Dave holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. Dave is responsible for overseeing an educational outreach program committed to strengthening education in the arts through statewide visual and media arts initiatives and innovative programs that place teaching and learning in the arts at the heart of education. He is responsible for professional, technical, and research support in visual and media arts education for teachers, administrators, artists, and schools/districts throughout the state of Minnesota.

Dave is an active member of Art Educators of Minnesota, the National Art Education Association, and is the past president of the Minnesota Alliance for Arts in Education.
